Location and getting here
Duisburg is the common link in three different regions: the idyllic Lower Rhine, the buzzing Ruhr region and the legendary stretch of land along the Rhine known as the ‘Rheinschiene’.
Lower Rhine, Ruhr region and "Rheinschiene"
Duisburg, the inland port city on the Rhine and Ruhr, extends from the western edge of the Ruhr Metropolis to the Lower Rhine and in a southerly direction towards the "Rheinschiene". The city sees itself as a touristic and logistics hub and plays an interesting role as the link between three diverse regions.
