Record shops in Duisburg
The seemingly long-forgotten vinyl record is currently experiencing a grand revival. Fans will be in their element in Duisburg city centre, where there is one record shop after another.
This record shop by the Schäferturm was one of the first shops in Duisburg to buy and sell records. To this day, it only sells second-hand records and there is a very big selection.
Genres: everything except German Schlager
Die Schallplatte is not only the oldest record shop in Duisburg, but also the whole of Germany. It is also a key location on the so-called German Football Route NRW, because this is where the Zebra Twist, Germany’s oldest stadium anthem, was exclusively sold in 1964.
Genres: classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop. Speciality: high-end audiophile records
In addition to cool gimmicks and interesting books, there is an impressive selection of vinyl at Onkel Stereo on Wallstraße. The shop only sells new records!
