In 2001, the first ever Cable Wakeboard World Championships were staged right here, with the permanent cable water ski lift on the lake 'Margareten', in the center of the Wedau Sports Park. A highly successful event - appraised by the sport's governing body, the International Water Ski Federation, as well as by 6'000 spectators in attendance!
