The Duisburg ice rink was built in 1971. It filled the last remaining gap in the city's offer of permanent venues for recreation and sports. Home to the EV Duisburg ice hockey club and to the inline roller hockey team 'Duisburg Steelers', it has a capacity of 4'800 spectators.

Parking is not possible during the World Games 2005. Parking areas for press are reserved at all venues. With a Ticket people will have a free public transport.
