Great Collections: A trip to the Center for International Sculpture

Program suggestion: Special group package deal

After arrival, visit to the Great Collections, the Museum's architecture and the sculpture park. Expert background information about the exhibitions and information on the Museum's history and growth. This is tantamount to a journey through the history of modern international sculpture.

Afterwards visitors have a chance to explore the fascinating architecture of Duisburg harbor (the work of architects that included Sir Norman Foster, Christoph Ingenhoven, Jacques Herzog / Pierre de Meuron) on their own. Depending on the weather and the number of people interested, the tour ends with a trip round Europe's largest inland harbor (trips until the end of October), a visit to Museum Küppersmühle, which boasts an important collection of German post-War art or an excursion to the Duisburg Nord park (with a Jonathan Park light installation/evenings only).
