From Picasso to Warhol - Sculptured Jewelry of the Avant-Garde

With accentuated modifications after its initial presentation at the Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Cologne, this exhibition offers visitors the enchanting possibility to acquaint themselves with the smallest form of art that the great sculptors of the 20th century have created, that is, jewelry.

Alberto Giacometti: Woman with Chariot. Triumph and Death

From January, 31, 2010 Lehmbruck Museum will present a unique exhibition on the work of the sculptor Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966). With the support of the Fondation Alberto et Annette Giacometti in Paris as Lehmbruck Museum's academic and organizational partner, loans from international museums and private collectors will bring some 120 of the sculptor's works together in Duisburg.

Lehmbruck Estate

Lehmbruck will always be a Duisburger.

After almost four years of negotiations, the extensive estate of Wilhelm Lehmbruck has successfully been permanently secured for Duisburg. The acquisition of 33 sculptures, 18 paintings, 11 pastels, 819 drawings and 260 prints. Hitherto, these 1141 works have only been available to the Museum as loans from the Lehmbruck community of heirs.
