The new shopping mall "Forum Duisburg" is being created at the centre of the city on the premium site previously occupied by Karstadt department store.
It will be home to retail stores, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities as well as various service providers and offices, covering a surface area of approx. 50,000 mē.
Forum will dovetail smoothly with the targeted inner-city development and reinforce Duisburg's role as a major centre for shopping, culture and business in the region. By incorporating the new KarstadtQuelle AG department store in the Forum, a complex is emerging which will be immensely important to Duisburg city centre.
