Children are especially welcome in the Museum der Deutschen Binnenschifffahrt. Jonas & Fips, our two mascots, are eagerly awaiting you!

We have special programs so that our young visitors have fun and the adults also have a chance to view the exhibit in peace and quiet.

Those who can already read and write will surely enjoy the inland sailor's diploma. Those who correctly solve the exciting museum quiz are appointed honorary inland sailors by means of a certificate and also participate in a competition. (Available only in German.)

In the inner courtyard, there is a water playground for playing and splashing. The play corner awaits small visitors inside the building.

The museum children's festival takes place once a year during the Ruhrorter Hafenfest. We will announce the date sufficiently in advance.
